(Were you away that you are supposed to do that--they would be *very* dangerous flying through the air if you were to be in an accident and your child was not fastened into the booster seat at the time of the accident).

The Clek™ LATCH system locks the booster seat into place quickly and easily using your vehicle’s LATCH anchorage system. (LATCH -Lower Anchor and Tethers for Children- refers to the pair of fixed lower anchors built into the crease between the seat back and seat cushion. The Clek Olli Booster seats are also very comfortable (no "numb bum" and they have padded arm rests which are great for longer car rides!). Time Out Pads now available at JamTots Baby & More Store!

If you have a child that is starting to test his boundaries.... seeing if you really mean it when you say the word 'no' and doesn't like to stay in their room or on a chair or a certain spot that is the 'naughty spot' as per the famous tv SuperNanny... then this is exactly what you need!!

The Time Out Pad (now available at JamTots Baby & More Store) is a fabulous invention (obviously made by parents of children that wouldn't stay still during a time out!!) that the child sits on after you set a timer for a pre-determined # of minutes.

The timer will go off to alert the child when their time out is finished so you don't look like the 'bad guy' -- it is simply the Time Out Pad telling them when the time out is over--and it does a countdown so they can visually see with a traffic light system when their time out is coming to an end. (Ending the endless "is my time out over yet??" questions!)

However the BEST PART is that the timer countdown will pause if the child leaves the time out pad--so they have an incentive to stay seated on the pad--as the time out will be over faster if they stay seated!!

Now really, I don't think that they could have thought of anything else--they really have thought of everything! My only complaint was when I went to add it to our website.... it really didn't "fit" into any of our categories on our website... not into bedtime or bathroom or safety time nor on the go, kitchen or toys.... I settled on putting in in Mommy's Gear since it would most likely be Mom (and/or Dad!) using it -- and heck I had no idea where else to put it and didn't want a whole new main category just for the one product!! :)

I just wish they had invented the Time Out Pad many years ago - I really could have used this with my first son!!

The Complete Laptop Lunch Systems are now instock at JamTots!

I am excited to announce that we have just received our shipment from Obentec. They make fabulous Laptop Lunch Systems -- kind of an Americanized Bento Box for kids!

These fabulous Laptop Lunches are THE solution for sending your child's lunch to school--I am convinced--we received our first shipment about a month ago -- we only ordered the Bento Boxes alone (without the insulated carrying cases) and I bought one for each of my children (ages 8, 6 and almost 4) and I have fallen in LOVE!!

Here is what they look like:

My youngest son picked the "Primary" Bento Box.

My daughter picked the "Pink" Bento Box (what a surprise--not really--she LOVES pink!)

My oldest son picked the "Black" Bento Box - you know because it was the 'coolest' and all!

They are also available in "Whimsical" and "Periwinkle" which are also very nice.

They really are fabulous though--the containers are all dishwasher safe (top rack only) and you can take one or more out if you need to fit in larger items, or if you have younger kids that don't finish everything then you can always take out the container(s) with uneaten food and just put them back in the next day (or give it to them after school for a snack or whatever). One container has a lid so you can have one liquid food and then there is a little 'dip' sized container with a lid and that is SUPER handy--great to use for dip for vegetables!!

I personally pop the Laptop Lunch Bento Box as well as my kids Sigg Water Bottles
along with a fruit like a banana or an apple in their JamTots Zippered Lunch Bags (pictured on the right--available in a multitude of colors - and we can also custom embroider them with your child's name &/or a picture for a fee upon request) and they are good to go! That right there is a great system!

However on our latest shipment we also brought in The Complete Laptop Lunch System due to popular customer request (as seen on the left there--also available in 4 other color combos). Customers were asking for the complete set as they wanted the insulated carrying case and water bottle that went along with the Bento Box -- ask and you shall receive we always say! :) So we now have those instock at JamTots - both instore and online.

We also have some non-toxic ice-packs as well as extra inner containers & utensils available to purchase so you can have some to use while your dishwasher is taking care of cleaning the other ones! (Yes--they are all dishwasher safe--yah!)

So there you go--the Obentec Laptop Lunch products--all made from safe plastic that can be recycled once you are done with them (but that won't be for a LONG time I'm sure!) so you can't go wrong!! I'd love to hear what you think!

Hello!!

Well we've finally decided to start posting to our blog again after a VERY long hiatus!! We also plan to not only post about new products that come in and sales that are on but shows that we will be in, products that we are working on, cool new products that we have found that we would like feedback on--we may also use this blog when we need new testers etc. etc.! Who knows where else it will go but we'll definitely try to use it more than we have in the past to let you into our world a little bit--to give you a little idea of who is behind JamTots-where we have come in the past 5+ years since we first opened our online store called JamTots Online Baby Store until now--where we now have a brick & mortar store in Victoria, British Columbia, and the online store-both of which we now call JamTots Baby & More Store and we also have several lines of cloth diapers (and a few other accessories such as Baby Spats Legwarmers)that we manufacture and wholesale around the world to other retailers through TOT Wearhouse Wholesale & Distributing and the range of products that we sell has grown from 1 (yes ONE!) product to heck I don't even know how many!! I must remember to post more often--note to self!! :)

Anyway--we are SO SO excited as our JamTots Minkee AIO and Covers are now ready for preorder! If you order today that you are guaranteed to have your order shipped to you on August 22/05. If you order by next Friday then it will be one week after that....

I just tested a size 1 all-in-one on my friends 9lb baby and it fit SO awesome so I'm really excited about that too!

Hello!

I have finally had a chance to update the site and we have some great new products for you to see!

First of all we finally have our Sage Creek Organics baby clothes and double-sided receiving blankets up on our site. These are just GORGEOUS items that are SUPER soft and are at FABULOUS prices as far as organic products go! They fit QUITE large so there is no need to size up and they will last a long long time! If you see anything that you would like but we don't have the size or colour that you would like instock, just send us an email at orders@jamtots.com and we can most likely get what you want within a day or two as the wholesaler is only an hour away from us!

We have 6 GORGEOUS BJ Marketplace Wool Soakers instock with more soakers and longies on their way to us. These are SUPER soft and SUPER trim so they fit well under pants and work great as a cover while letting baby's skin breathe! I love using my soaker at night to help keep my daughter's skin rash free! We also now have Eucalan Wool Wash instock so that you can keep your soakers looking great!

Next up is that we now have LilyPadz instock. These are a great alternative to breastpads as they inhibit milk leakage instead of just absorbing it! You can even wear them without a bra or while swimming. They are made of silicone so they can be used by those allergic to latex--what a fabulous invention!!

Last of all we have finally gotten some JamTots microfleece liners cut up and ready to go. So far we only have the orange cut up but hope to have the white, plum and red within a few days. These are GREAT for adding to *any* diaper to keep wetness away from baby and minimize any staining on your diapers and they are cheap to boot!

Hello everyone!

We have some great new Baby Food Mills instock--great for grinding up food at the dinner table to feed to your baby! I wish I had one of these with my first two-definitely something I'll be getting for my next baby!

Comes with a serving spoon and you can also get a carrying case for it! Made by KidCo!

We are working on cutting up some of our Malden Mills microfleece that we just got instock for diaper liners. They should be available to purchase within the next couple of days--we have to find somewhere to unroll these HUGE rolls so that we can cut them up! We have white, red, orange and plum. They will be available as single liners or in packs of 12 in either white or an assorted colour pack.

We are working on added some Sage Creek Organics organic baby clothing and receiving blankets to our site--hopefully they will be up in the next couple of days. They are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous in person--seeing them on the web just doesn't do them justice! They are also FABULOUS prices for organic products!

We will be added 3 tie-dyed eeZi-folds to our site tonight also--they are GORGEOUS and were previously only offered on ebay. VERY limited in quantities so check back if you want one!!!

Hello everyone!
Sorry I forgot about our blog for a while there so I have lots to update!

We just got back from our nice little family (well two families together) vacation this week and we are feeling nice and relaxed!

We still did some work while we were gone though. We have some GORGEOUS embroidered hand dyed eeZi-folds that we are auctioning on ebay so watch for those: http://tinyurl.com/2brsu

We also made up some new nursing necklaces while we were gone and hope to post those on our site next week.

We bought some new dyes so we will be dying up some prefolds and playsilks soon so let us know if you are looking for something in particular!

We have added the new 3 packs of Wonderoos to our site--only available for a limited time.

We also added the 6 and 12 packs of Wonderoos back to our site and they come with 1-3 FREE JamTots hemp inserts to stuff them with!!

We have a HUGE Fuzzi Bunz shipment that should be arriving any day now with more FB, changing pads, bedwetter and training pants, smell better diaper pail liners, microterry inserts and doublers and much more so check back for that.

More hand dyed prefolds at JamTots!!!

Hello again!

I spent last night dying the remaining three colours of prefolds--so we now have Chartreuse, Wisteria and Citrus Yellow. They look really pretty--I'm really happy with them although my hands are a yellowy-greenish colour today due to the dyes!! OOPS!!

My hands also *really* hurt today--I think from all the mixing and squeezing out water etc. from the prefolds... It's really quite painful so I hope that it goes away soon!

Anyway--you can see the new colours on our website although the pictures aren't great depictions of what they really look like--they are much nicer in person!!

Well we are going to be preparing today to be in the local Welcome Wagon Baby Shower so lots to do to prepare for that. We hope to show lots of mommie's-to-be all the awesome cloth diapering stuff that is out there today and hope that at least some of them will go home considering cloth diapering!!! We'll let you know how it goes! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello everyone!

We've been really busy so I forgot about this for a little bit!! We are preparing for a local Welcome Wagon Baby Shower that is coming up this Sunday so it will be neat to get out there in the community and show people what cloth diapers are like these days!!

I spent many hours hand dying some infant and premium size prefolds tonight. They look great--I have pink, baby blue and a turquoise colour being washed right now so we'll just need to get pictures and get them up on our site! I hope to do three more colours tomorrow night--yellow, lavender and an army green type colour.

We have new Bummis Cotton covers instock with an adorable cow print on a red background. They work awesome as swim diapers as well as covers.

We also just added Preggi Pops--they are suckers that help with morning sickness. I wish I had heard of these when I was pregnant before--I've heard that they work great!! 7 all natural flavours are in the variety pack that we are selling!

We finally have our long awaited Diapering Resources online and we are so excited!! We have a Diapering FAQ, a Diapering Glossary, a Diapering Systems comparison chart and an awesome Why Cloth Diaper article. We are still working on our prefold folding and our pocket diaper stuffing page which should be up soon!

We are also working on adding all new pictures to our Wonderoos page showing the different sizes that the Wonderoos can go to with the different rise settings. Currently we still have the very first Wonderoos shown on our website so they definitely need to be updated!

We also have an awesome picture of the anatomy of a Wonderoo that really helps explain how the Wonderoos work for those of you who have trouble imagining it so that should be up soon!!

Tie dying day at JamTots!!

Yesterday Jen and I finally found the time to do some dying with our procian dyes. We had playsilks, t-shirts, dresses and some used prefolds to test on.

WELL it's a lot harder than it looks!! We have some very nice looking playsilks--except for one that is hideos--we kept trying new things on it saying "well it can't get any worse" and it DID!! UGH!! It's hideous!!

Other than that it went pretty well though--we have some adorable hot pink, bright yellow, baby blue, turquoise, light purple, and chartreuse t-shirts and dresses to add to our site. We plan on embroidering on some of them too so that will be fun!

We also did some solid coloured playsilks--we have 2 gorgeous jade green ones (one of which my son has claimed so we'll see about that! Green is his FAVOURITE colour right now being a Hulk fan and all!) We also have a bright yellow one, a lavender one, a light blue one and two marbled pink ones that are just gorgeous!!

All in all it was a great day! We plan to dye some more prefolds when we get them back instock as well as some of our hemp inserts (for people who use them as prefolds) as they turned out really well!

Luckily my two kids slept through most of it and my husband came home to help out before they woke up and Jen's daughter was *very* good so that helped too!

Watch our New Arrivals! page as we will have pictures of our dying fun up there soon!! (Probably Wednesday at the earliest) and we only have a few things in each colour so they will go fast!!

Let us know if there is anything in particular that you would like to see us do as we are open to new ideas--anything in particular you want dyed or ?? It's definitely fun but there is a learning curve--good thing we had lots to practice with--I'm sure next time will go a lot more smoothly and there won't be so many items that our kids will "inherit"!!!
